You’ll want to start your RV tour in Acadia National Park in Maine, perhaps the most visually beautiful place in the entirety of New England. This region is famous for its granite peaks and views over the ocean, making it a popular stop-off spot for those who love RV touring. 

There are plenty of campgrounds in the area, and many of them provide gorgeous views over the world-famous Cadillac Mountains. What’s more, there are plenty of places selling lobster rolls nearby, as well as boutique stores to explore for those who love shopping. 

Cape Cod In Massachusetts

Another popular stopoff is Cape Cod, a little further south. Again, it’s home to some of America’s best seafood, especially its clams and lobsters, which you can eat with a special sauce, buns, or potato fries. 

Nearby, you can find numerous camping grounds, many of them close to woodland and nature reserves. You can also plan to take the Cape Cod Rail Trail or go to Race Point Beach to explore local attractions (both of which are well worth visiting in the summer months). 

Mystic In Connecticut

Another location that should be on your list is Mystic in Connecticut. This strange maritime village has a historic seaport and other facilities, like the aquarium. Again, the area offers high-quality seafood, like fresh clams, and there are museums where you can learn more about the area’s history. 

Finding an RV park in Connecticut is usually pretty straightforward. The state is one of the most developed in the country, with the majority of stop-off points offering facilities for not only humans but their pets, too. 

Green Mountains in Vermont

If you love to explore highlands, then the Green Mountains in Vermont should be another stop-off on your travels. These offer the most stunning views of the surrounding countryside, providing an almost bucolic feel you’d expect from somewhere like Derbyshire or Cheshire in the UK. 

Most RV resorts are open in the area over the summer, although you may run into problems if you try to travel in the winter. You can also visit the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory, which is native to the area and one of the main reasons people chose it in the first place. 

Newport in Rhode Island

Finally, you might want to take a trip to the historic town of Newport in Rhode Island. Here you can go on tours that take you around the historic buildings and introduce you to the location’s past. 

Unfortunately, parking in Newport can be tricky, especially for RVs, so it is well worth planning ahead. Leaving your vehicle outside of town and then finding another way in is usually the best policy.
